Jellystone Park Camp-Resort Eureka, Missouri
From Advisory Board Member: Allison Housewright
There are currently over 75 Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts locations across the United States and Canada, however my family continues to return to their Eureka, MO location, nestled just outside St. Louis. Operated under the beloved Yogi Bear™ brand, this camp-resort blends the charm of classic camping with modern amenities, making it a great destination for families looking to escape the city and immerse themselves in nature.
Located only 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis, Jellystone Park in Eureka is ideally situated for campers who want both wilderness and access to nearby attractions. The park sits close to Six Flags St. Louis, which makes it a perfect basecamp for thrill-seekers. Yet despite its proximity to bustling attractions, the park itself offers a peaceful, wooded retreat where families can slow down and reconnect.
Whether you’re a traditional tent camper or prefer the comforts of home, Eureka’s Jellystone Park has you covered. The resort offers a range of lodging options, including tent sites, RV hookups, and fully furnished cabins. Their cabins are especially popular, offering air conditioning, a kitchen, a bathroom, and private outdoor areas—ideal for families who want to enjoy nature without roughing it.
For RV travelers, the campground provides full hookup sites with water, electricity, and sewer connections, plus convenient pull-through sites for larger rigs. Every camping option gives guests access to the resort’s wide array of activities and amenities.
Jellystone Park Eureka is designed with families in mind, offering a packed schedule of themed weekends, crafts, games, and character appearances by Yogi Bear™ and friends. From ice cream sundae parties to magic shows, there is always something happening.
The Eureka location offers a large swimming pool, mini golf, a playground, an arcade and daily activities including a train ride in the morning and evening and at least two opportunities daily to meet and get your photo with Yogi. We’ve enjoyed glow stick dance parties, making tie-dye t-shirts, and getting the opportunity to slime dad when we visited on Father’s Day weekend. The staff work hard to make sure there’s something new and engaging every day, so whether you’re staying for a weekend or a week, your family will never be bored.
Jellystone Park Eureka is also pet-friendly. Designated pet areas and walking trails make it easy to bring your dog along for the adventure.
Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Eureka operates seasonally, typically from early spring through late fall. Reservations are recommended, especially during summer and holidays, when the park has a high volume of visitors. Online booking is available through the official Jellystone Park website or their app.
